Green Menu: Contributing to Food Security, Health & Sustainability by Giving to Our Local Food Bank.

Currently, there are over 1 billion people who are experiencing hunger. However, a shift away from animal consumption to plant-based options provides more food for to the hungry, enhances the planets sustainability and decreases the prevalence of chronic diseases.

With a mission to ease hunger and promote human and environmental health, Green Menu’s volunteers work tirelessly to create harmony in our local communities by providing healthy plant-based foods to those who might otherwise not have access. Today we celebrate Meatless Monday with a donation of 714 lbs. of vegan food to our friends at Heart of Compassion Food Bank in Montebello.

目前地球上有超過10億人口面臨飢餓的問題,根據科學研究,飲食文化從肉食轉變為蔬食,不但有利地球環保、緩解糧食危機,還有助於降低慢性疾病的㦬患率。

Green Menu非營利組織以推廣蔬食為己任,致力提供健康美味的蔬食餐飲給社區民眾。8月10日為配合週一無肉日的宣導,Green Menu捐贈714磅的素食食品給Heart of Compassion Food Bank,希望有更多人能藉由每週一天的蔬食,調整自己的飲食習慣,讓自身與地球都更健康。
